Lee Ann Morgan Box, MSN, RN is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs for the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Kitty DeGree School of Nursing. She earned her BSN from the University of Southern Mississippi, MSN in Nursing Education from the University of Mobile, and is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing an EdD in Instructional Leadership for Nursing Education at the University of Alabama.
Her research focuses on the transition of nurses from clinical practice into academia, examining professional identity development, challenges faced, and the role of orientation, mentorship, and faculty development in supporting novice nurse educators. The goal of her work is to provide evidence-based strategies to improve faculty retention and success.
Lee Ann teaches across undergraduate and RN-BSN programs, specializing in Adult Health Nursing and Care of the Complex Patient. In 2025, she was honored with the Margaret Edwards Research Scholarship (Sigma Theta Tau) and the Judy L. Bonner Nurse Educator of the Year Award (University of Alabama).
