Biographical Sketch
Dr. Michelle McEacharn, DBA, CPA, CIA, CGMA is the Susan and William D. Banowsky Endowed Chair and Professor of Accounting for the School of Accounting, Financial and Information Services in the ULM College of Business and Social Sciences. She earned her Doctorate of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minors in Finance and Quantitative Analysis from Louisiana Tech University.
Dr. McEacharn’s current teaching interests are focused on governmental and not-for-profit accounting, consolidations and acquisitions, and international accounting issues. She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in Accounting Education Award by the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants in 2009 and the Outstanding Educator for the Southwest Region of the American Accounting Association in 2008. She currently serves as the Executive Director for the Federation of Business Disciplines and is a recent past president for the Northeast Chapter of the Society of Louisiana CPAs.

Research Interests
Dr. McEacharn's current research interests include statistical sampling in audits, uncollectible accounts reporting for not-for-profit organizations, and negative interest rate implications internationally and domestically. She has published 15 journal articles and has nearly 50 presentations of papers and workshops on her resume.
